Search - This function is a subscribers-only feature which enables you to search within deviantART for art that interests you. You can use Google, but it is far less accurate.
Journal - This is your journal button and is a link to your journal managagement page where you can add, edit and delete your journals.
Profile - This page is where you can input infomation about yourself, set a personal avatar and comment signature, and set up what is viewed on your userpage such as your ID, email addresses, Feaured Deviation and more.
Settings - This is your settings page for deviantART where you can customise your name, password and location, how you browse art, and how comments are displayed. Play with these to find a set-up that suits you.
Your Userpage
This is your page that people usually view when they come to see your art. It is where you can make first impressions, so make it a good one!
Your Gallery - When you submit artwork it will appear in either here or your Scraps, depending on where you want it.
Journal - This is where people can view journals about pretty much anything you want...your art work, events in your life or outside.
People can also leave comments for you directly on your userpage...check them regularly!

You get a few more buttons in this page related to the deviant...
Activity - This just enables you to see what that deviant has been commenting on last.
Send Note - This enables you to send private noted to other deviants, without anyone else seeing.
+deviantWatch - This is a special function that enables you to "watch" other deviants. This means that every time they submit a deviation or journal, it will appear in your Message Centre or devWatch Page for you to look at.

About Us - This link can be found at the bottom of most deviantART pages and shows a brief description of how deviantART was formed and the list of Admins that help run this place. I advise that you check them out occasionally for infomation on updates, competitions, events etc. that are not listed on the main page.
Today's Features - This link is updated every day and displays artwork that is seen as amazing. There are usually between 5 and 8 a day, and they are suggested by fellow deviants and selected by the admins.

It also shows new and active deviants on the site at this moment. I advise you to visit this first every time you visit deviantART.
The Shoutbox - Loved by some, hated by others. The shoutbox is here to stay! This is what deviants used to communicate in "Real Time" before dAmn was created. It refreshes every minute or so to display the current messages, or when you type a message. The Shoutbox's Official dAmn chatroom, #Shoutboxers, can be found here.
Random Deviant - This is a function that when clicked, will display a completely random deviant from the over 1 million users currently using deviantART. There is also a Random Deviation function that selects one of the (almost) 10 million deviations that reside on deviantART at this moment.
